Back in April, to mark Earth Day, the team at English Estates took part in a local litter pick at a nearby park. The day was a great opportunity to step away from the usual work and come together to do something positive for the environment and the local community.
Armed with gloves, bin bags and plenty of enthusiasm, the team set out to clear litter from the park’s paths, grassy areas, and natural spaces. It was a rewarding experience to see how much of a difference a few hours of focused effort could make. By the end of the day, the park looked noticeably cleaner and more welcoming, and it felt good to know the team had contributed to preserving a space used and enjoyed by so many people.
Taking part in this kind of activity is not just about tidying up. It helps protect local wildlife, prevents pollution, and sends a positive message about caring for the shared environment. It also brings people together, creating a stronger sense of connection between colleagues and with the wider community.
The team hopes this small contribution will inspire others to do the same. Whether it is joining a community clean-up, reducing waste, or encouraging others to act more sustainably, every action counts. A cleaner, greener future is something everyone can play a part in creating.
English Estates is proud to support environmental initiatives like this and looks forward to doing more in the future. The team recognises that environmental responsibility doesn’t begin and end with a single event – it is about building long-term habits and making sustainability a part of everyday life. Going forward, English Estates will continue to explore new ways to reduce environmental impact, support green projects, and collaborate with the community on shared goals.
Earth Day served as a valuable reminder that even small actions can lead to meaningful change. The team encourages everyone – residents, businesses, and local groups to get involved where they can. Together, these efforts contribute to healthier neighbourhoods, stronger communities, and a better environment for generations to come.
